How It All Works

Tier placement is dependant upon proof of certifications; proof of work experience; references; and "look-see" evaluation.

Prior to joining our team you are required to submit a background check and fingerprints, at your own expense to us and Maui County.   Once "hired" you become an independent contractor, providing a service to us, therefore you are responsible for your own taxes, benefits, job-related expenses, and all other work-related items.

All independent contractors must have a Pay Pal account and active email address.  All payments are sent via Pay pal, no exceptions.

We send out "payroll" within two weeks after the last day of the session.  We do not pay weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.  We ONLY pay AFTER the session is completed, after all necessary paperwork is submitted, and all participants have received their certificates.

The process is simple: submit your application to us as described above; set-up your "look-see" evaluation; attend the "look-see" evaluation day; receive the results from the evaluation; move forward from there. (The "look-see" evaluation day: you attend a full day of teaching with us; co-teach all the classes for that day; chat between classes with us; and learn about our company. We observe you for the day and you check us out. At the end of the day, if we like you and you like us, then we discuss the next step. If either of us decide this isn't a good fit-no foul, no harm; we all go on our way, no hurt feelings. *We do pay for your time regardless of the outcome, however the pay is the last rung on the tier).

We do require all potential independent contractors to co-teach with us for a minimum of one session; teach side-by-side with us for a minimum of one session; and teach under supervision for a minimum of one session. You will be required to attend all training sessions, attend all scheduled meetings, write lesson plans, complete skill sheets, send participation certificates, and respond to all emails and phone calls within 24 hours.

Further responsibilities will be detailed upon "hiring".
